Cookie Policy
Version 1.0 · Effective 27 August 2026
What the Gruha Vidhi website stores in your browser, and how to change it.
1. Scope
This policy covers the website. The iOS and Android apps do not use cookies: they store the equivalent information in the operating system’s own app storage, which is removed when you uninstall the app.
2. What we actually use
At the effective date above, this website sets no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Everything listed below is strictly necessary or a preference you chose yourself.
We use browser local storage rather than traditional cookies for most of this. The law treats the two the same way, so we describe both here.
3. The entries
Strictly necessary. These cannot be switched off, because without them the site cannot do what you asked it to.
•
firebase:authUser — keeps you signed in across reloads. Set by Firebase Authentication when you sign in, cleared when you sign out.
•
gruhavidhi.consent — remembers the choice you made in the cookie banner, so we do not ask again on every page. Kept for twelve months.
Preferences. Optional. Switching these off means the site forgets your choices between visits.
•
gruhavidhi.theme — which colour theme you picked.
•
gruhavidhi.colorMode — whether you chose light, dark or to follow your system.
Analytics. None at present. If we add any, they will be listed here and will stay off until you turn them on.
Marketing. None at present, and we have no plans to add any. We do not advertise in the Service.
4. Third parties
Signing in loads Google Identity Services, which may set cookies on Google’s own domains as part of authenticating you. Paying loads Stripe Checkout on Stripe’s domain, which sets cookies necessary for the payment and for fraud prevention. Both are subject to those companies’ own policies, and neither is loaded until you sign in or pay.
5. Changing your mind
Open Settings and choose Cookie preferences to change your choices at any time. You can also clear site data in your browser, which removes everything listed above; the next visit will ask you again.
Refusing the optional categories does not limit your access to any part of the Service.
