Deleting your account
Version 1.0 · Effective 4 October 2026
How to delete your Gruha Vidhi account, and what happens to your data when you do.
1. From the app or the website
Gruha Vidhi is made by Para Labs LLC. You can delete your account yourself, at any time, from the iOS or Android app or from gruhavidhi.com:
•
Sign in with the account you want to delete.
•
Open Settings from the round account button at the top of the screen.
•
At the bottom, choose Delete account, then Delete my account.
To make sure it is you, you are asked to sign in again with the same Google or Apple account. The account is then deleted straight away and you are signed out. If you signed in with Apple, that same sign-in also withdraws our access to your Apple ID.
2. By email
If you can no longer sign in, write to privacy@gruhavidhi.com from the email address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm that the account is yours and delete it within thirty days.
3. What is deleted
•
your profile: username, display name, email, language, city and location;
•
your sankalpam details: gotra, nakshatra, rashi and the rest;
•
your practice: the prayers you chanted, scores and streaks;
•
every family member you added to the account, and their practice;
•
your places in groups (a group you started passes to the next member, or closes if you were the last);
•
the reviews and ratings you wrote, including any shown on our website;
•
poojas you signed up for but did not pay for;
•
the phones registered for your reminders;
•
your sign-in, so the account cannot be signed into again.
4. What is kept, and for how long
Two things are kept, because the law requires them, and neither includes your name, email or profile:
•
records of poojas you paid for (what was bought, when, and for how long it was unlocked), kept for as long as tax and limitation rules demand;
•
a record that the account existed and which version of the Terms it accepted, and when, kept for the same period.
Payments themselves are handled by Stripe or by Apple, who keep their own records under their own policies. Server logs are kept for a short period and then discarded.
