Terms of Service
Version 1.1 · Effective 27 August 2026
The agreement between you and Para Labs LLC for your use of Gruha Vidhi.
1. Who you are agreeing with
Gruha Vidhi is operated by Para Labs LLC ("we", "us", "our"), a limited liability company registered in the State of Washington, United States. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Gruha Vidhi mobile applications and website (together, the "Service").
By creating an account, or by continuing to use the Service after we ask you to accept a new version of these Terms, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What the Service is
Gruha Vidhi provides step-by-step guidance for performing poojas and related observances: ordered activities and steps, preparation and shopping lists, recited text with transliteration and translation, audio and video, and calendar dates computed for your location.
The Service is a reference and a teaching aid. It is not a religious authority, and it does not replace the guidance of a priest, a teacher or your own family tradition. Practices differ legitimately between regions, sampradayas and families. Where our guidance differs from the tradition you follow, your tradition governs, not this app.
We make no representation about the religious validity, efficacy or completeness of any ritual presented in the Service, and nothing in it should be read as such a promise.
3. Your account
You need an account to use the Service. You must be at least 13 years old to hold one. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping access to it secure.
You agree that the information you give us, including your name, your email address and any profile details, is accurate, and that you will keep it current.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, that is used to abuse the Service or other people, or that we are required to act on by law.
4. Purchases and access
Some content is free and some must be unlocked by a one-time purchase. The price of an item is shown before you pay, and the amount charged is determined by us at the time of checkout.
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not receive or store your full card number. Your purchase is complete when our payment processor confirms it to us, not when your browser returns from checkout.
A purchase grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access that content through the Service for as long as we offer it. It does not transfer ownership of anything, and it is not a licence to redistribute.
If content you paid for stops working, or is removed, or was not what was described, write to privacy@gruhavidhi.com and we will refund it. Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are also subject to that store's own refund policy, which we cannot override.
5. Our content
The underlying rituals and scriptures are part of a living tradition and belong to no one. Our particular expression of them does belong to us: the written guidance, the translations and transliterations we commission, our recordings, photography, illustration, software and the arrangement of it all are owned by Para Labs LLC or licensed to us.
You may use this material for your own personal and household observance. You may not copy, resell, republish, or redistribute it, use it to train a machine-learning model, or strip or alter any marking that identifies it as ours.
Some of our media and translations carry an imperceptible mark identifying their origin. Removing or attempting to remove that mark is a breach of these Terms.
6. Content you contribute
If you are given authoring access and you contribute content to the Service, you keep ownership of what you write, and you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, adapt, translate and display it within the Service.
You confirm that you have the right to give us that licence, and that what you contribute does not infringe the rights of anyone else.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
•
break the law, or use the Service to help anyone else do so;
•
access the account of another person, or try to;
•
probe, scrape, overload or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure;
•
attempt to obtain paid content without paying for it;
•
resell or commercially redistribute any part of the Service;
•
upload malicious code, or anything abusive, hateful or unlawful.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it. If we discontinue something you have paid for, we will refund it.
We may revise these Terms. When we make a material change we will raise the version and ask you to accept the new version before you continue using the Service. The version recorded against your account is the version you were shown.
9. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Ritual dates and timings, including panchanga calculations, tithis and muhurtas, are computed from your stated location and from astronomical models. They are offered in good faith and may differ from the almanac or authority your family follows. Verify anything that matters before you rely on it.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Para Labs LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising out of your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or twenty-five United States dollars.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages. Where that is so, the exclusions above apply only as far as the law allows, and nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in that State, except that either of us may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer resident in a country whose law gives you the protection of your local courts, nothing here removes that right.
